What should we know and do to green our urban environment and conserve our rural hinterland?
We put much efforts to green our urban environment and it is equally important to conserve our rural hinterland which is underpinning the environmental balance of the whole territory. Vegetations are the key players to sustain our environment. They are not only green but colourful, have different textures and forms and medicinal uses which can save many lives. The speaker would illustrate his talk with the examples of urban green movement and the efforts to conserve the natural environment of Lai Chi Wo which is a remote village in the far North East corner of Hong Kong. With some interesting information about plants and environment he would share his view about the role and responsibilities us as members of our community.
